You can enjoy making amber sugar by simply removing the agar-like amber sugar base from the package, cutting it into any shape you like, and letting it dry for a few days.
Traditionally, amber sugar is made by boiling large amounts of agar, sugar, and water, cooling and solidifying the mixture, then cutting it into bite-sized pieces and drying it. However, this product eliminates the boiling and solidifying process, allowing you to easily experience making amber sugar in a variety of colors and flavors.
When freshly cut, it is highly transparent and has a chewy texture similar to agar or yokan. After drying for a few days, the surface crystallizes and forms a membrane, giving it the texture unique to amber sugar.
Using Kobutsu Okashi no Moto will take your homemade sweets to the next level.
By simply placing freshly cut, transparent and sparkling kobushi on top of granola, yogurt, jelly, or ice cream, you can create a jewel-like parfait.
You can easily put it on a commercially available cake to create a unique effect. You can easily enjoy making amber sugar and decorating chocolates.
